THE CASTING PROCESS
Criteria:
It is not a first come first served casting.
We want each of the 32 / 16 characters in On Location to be played by someone who really wants to play that particular character -- as they're quite different from each other. So that is going to be the main casting criterion: how much you want to play that role.
The characters are all to some extent tweakable -- you will have input into the details of what they're like -- so if a character is pretty close to ideal for you but not quite, do please check with us if it will be possible to make them more suitable.
Gender:
Each of the characters has a male or female gender, as you'll see on that page. This is the gender that they successfully publicly present as, although it will be up to the player as to whether that's the same as their real gender. So if you want to play a character listed as being of a particular gender, that's great, you can be of any gender (or of none) yourself, but you have to be prepared to play -- respectfully -- the appearance of the gender that is listed. If you aren't sure about how that might work, get in touch with us and we'll happily discuss how to queer up individual characters, etc. If there is a character that you would very much like to play in another gender, that is also possible, please contact us about it or write it in the sign-up form (for example, you would really like to play the Veteran, but a female veteran).
Note, the character of The Stills Photographer is not available, as it will be played by a real-life photographer. Please contact us directly if you would like to take on that function.
